Music for Young People’s Program Sponsored by Kiwanis is in the running for up to a $100,000.00 A Community Thrives (ACT) Grant from USA Today. 

The Music for Young People’s Program, supported by Toms River Kiwanis Daybreak with a three year grant of $30,000 to the Garden State Philharmonic (GSP) has been selected to be eligible for up to a $100,000.00 A Community Thrives (ACT) Grant from USA Today.  Action by the public is needed to get this grant proposal into final consideration.

The Kiwanis Music for Young People’s Program, through the GSP, allows young people to explore music appreciation, examples of common and not so common instruments, basic music theory and composition, performance technique and more.  The program also includes funding for instruments, lessons and a Children’s Chorus.

Voting for the ACT grant has begun and ends at 11:59 a.m. EST on May 12, 2017
